Peace. What is peace? Tranquility. Harmony. Love. Equality. Silence. Order. Freedom.

Peace censors the mind from what isn't perfect. What information is missing or not considered becomes unknown. Peace is known. Without peace, there is war.

Peace requires laws. When laws are broken, peace is broken. But who enforces the laws and dictates the laws creates power. Power thus condemns peace.

Within laws and power, there are those that break them. Whether within reason or not, a broken law is broken peace to power. They are punished whether it's fair or not.

When power is made, there is separation. The powerful and the powerless. The high and the low. The low suffer the most and the high shield their eyes of it.

The high and low are no different. Each being has the freedom to choose. Stay eager believing that peace can exist or work so peace can be achieved. They will fail.

The power will always work against peace. Peace is boring. No alarms to ring, no plugs to pull, no war. War pays. For as long as us beings live, there will always be discourse.

Laws imitate the peace we trust to be made. The power guides our hands without a second thought. Thoughts, feelings, and ideas give false peace to those censored.

And if power sees to it the laws are broken, blame is put to the low. For they have no ground to stand on and are easily punished. Keeping peace is keeping war.

The high and low are forced to exist in a system with power. With or without laws, there will be war. With or without peace, we will still wish for it.

Peace is the hope beings cling to. It promises freedom from harm of the power, the least damage to the low, and healing from the lack of war. Yet when we most desire peace, it is destroyed.

So I ask again, what is peace?
